Dereon Launch in Montreal, Canada

It was a family affair for Beyonce on Wednesday as the pop sensation was joined by her mother and sister at the Canadian launch of their junior apparel collection, Dereon.
Dozens of fans packed a bustling downtown sidewalk outside a posh supper club to catch a glimpse of the superstar, who walked the red carpet with mom, Tina Knowles, and younger sister, Solange, just hours before she was to perform at the Air Canada Centre.
The trio were decked out in apparel from the line, with Beyonce wearing a form-fitting black dress with gold print.
"It's all about a young working woman, a trendy woman, a woman that loves style," Beyonce said of the Dereon line. "My mom and my sister and I have all collaborated together, and we're excited to launch it in Toronto today."
Tina Knowles, the co-founder, creative director and designer behind the Dereon brand, was designer and stylist for Beyonce when she was part of the award-winning girl group, Destiny's Child. She acts as designer and stylist for Beyonce and Solange as solo artists.
She said stylewatchers can expect to see a younger, more casual look with the Dereon line.
"Just really great trendy things, a lot of emphasis on fit, and just really cool stuff, lots of graphics and cool, young things," she said.
Gold was a prominent feature in the detailing of pieces showcased in the Dereon runway show, from embellishments and embroidery on fitted dark jeans, to shiny decorative prints on shirts and hoodies.
Heavy gold chains accented many of the pieces, which featured prints from leopard to camouflage.
Models strutted onto the catwalk to pulsating dance beats, including a few remixed tracks by Beyonce herself, as she and her family, including father and manager, Matthew, looked on.
Beyonce has previously collaborated with her mother on their House of Dereon fashion label. The brand is named in honour of Beyonce's maternal grandmother, Agnez Dereon, a dressmaker who made custom clothing for private clients.
Beyonce said the opportunity to work with her family is "very important" to her.
"I know my whole career I've always loved working with my family. My father's my manager, (and) I'm so excited to work with my sister now," she said.
"My mother has always designed the clothes for Destiny's Child and myself, and now it's like a dream come true to celebrate not only fashion but a lifestyle."
Dereon is distributed by Montreal-based Multiprint, and is available at specialty retailers across Canada.
Beyonce Promotes Diamonds

Stars keep themselves busy doing what they do best flashing a smile and attending social do's.
Nowadays artist Beyonce is busy promoting a new fragrance in addition to globetrotting and promoting her mother's clothes line.
Beyonce took a break from her world tour to meet fans in New York City, in her role as the face of new fragrance Emporio Armani Diamonds.
Hundreds of fans lined-up at Macy's Department store to get an autograph from the singer and actress.
Beyonce said she enjoys interacting with her fans.
"A lot of the time I am so distant. I am on the stage. I am doing photo shoots and videos and I don't really get to touch the people that are impacted by my music. It is so beautiful for me to be able to shake their hands and to hear that effect that my music has had on everyone's lives," she said.
"It is really overwhelming for me. I am so grateful for these opportunities."
In addition to being the face and voice of Emporio Armani Diamonds, Beyonce also has a clothing line, House of Dereon, which is run by her mother and sister.
Beyonce said that she loves fashion, but it won't knock her passion for music into second place.
"I think my fashion and music go hand-in-hand. Music is my first love. I can't compare anything to the love I have for music," she said.
Despite recently falling on stage during an Orlando, Florida performance for her tour, Beyonce says she loves being on the stage.
"The tour is great," she said. "I have one month to go. Actually, I have a month after, now we have extended the tour another month. I am going to Egypt and all over the world and China, places that I have never been, India, so I am excited about that."
Beyonce may be busy promoting the fragrance, her tour and her clothing line, but she says she will take time out to support an important person in her life - her mother, Tina Knowles.
"We actually launched Dereon yesterday in Toronto," Beyonce says.
"Hopefully we will be in Europe maybe by next year. My mother has Tina Knowles coming out which is her own collection. Dereon, the sizes are going up to a size 24. We are expanding and the brand is growing everyone seems to like the line, I love the line so I am happy about it."
Beyonce will soon head to the Midwest for her tour. She is also scheduled to attend the MTV Music Video Awards in Las Vegas in September. Beyonce is nominated for seven VMAs.

New Address, New Layout, New Name!

Welcome to my new address y'all! Hope you like the new Header-block above. Well, in case you haven't noticed(I highly doubt that), I've renamed my Design name from 'Dere Design' to 'Pele/Style.' The reason for the change is quite simple... one of the MANY names my family call me is Pele(short for Saipele). I thought it was more appropriate to have my name on it rather than something that(quite bluntly) didn't.
Don't worry, Dere Design won't be gone forever! I have a suprise for you guys, keep visiting to see when!!
